We are now living the day where ‘The Church’ is in a compromising state; when it comes to Godly Standards: Pastors abusing members, members abusing pastors, people bound by programs and traditionalism. The list goes on and on.
Therefore, after visiting a few churches in the area and seeing more of man (mankind) and less of God; we stopped "searching for a church-home".
However, upon receiving a personal invite from one of the leaders at Covenant Community Church, i.e. C-3, and hearing how much of an impact the ministry has had on him and his family, we decided "one more time" to visit a local church. Hence, the experience was great!
Nevertheless, given the current state of today's churches, joining C-3 was not going to be an instant move for us; predicated upon emotions and goose-bumps.
Rather, a decision that would involve answers to the following questions:
- Did we sense the PRESENCE OF GOD?
- How was the environment?
- How were we greeted and treated?
- Who is the Pastor?
- How is the Pastor's relationship with God?
- Does the Pastor have integrity outside of the church?
- Does the Pastor's life-style line-up with the Word of God?
- Who/How are the members?
- Was the message seasoned with compassion or compromise?
- Did we see our family being apart of the ministry?
- Could we contribute to the vision "of the House"?
- Was our Spiritual Father in agreement with our decision?
Final Analysis:
* WE WENT, WE EXPERIENCED, AND WE JOINED!!!
